Deckskill, a global IT solutions provider with more than 10,000 technology professionals across four continents, secured a public tender with Portugal’s national electricity transmission operator.

The scope was ambitious: to build and maintain multiple websites on Umbraco, ensuring performance, scalability, and strict compliance with security and governance requirements.

Rather than simply supplying developers, Deckskill required a partner capable of taking ownership of the technical backbone, from team leadership to infrastructure. Double Shore was selected for this role.

The key challenge was the design and configuration of a secure CI/CD pipeline within an on-premises Azure DevOps environment.

Unlike cloud-hosted setups, this environment required precise configuration to ensure that websites could move seamlessly from development to production without downtime or security risk.

Acting as an extension of the delivery team, Double Shore worked closely with Deckskill’s developers, ensuring alignment across workflows while introducing best practices in Umbraco development, automation, and deployment strategy.

From the outset, the role extended beyond development to establishing trust, structure, and clarity.

By combining deep expertise in CMS platforms with hands-on DevOps capability, a delivery process was established where each release was consistent, predictable, and secure.
